The Challenge
PayBridge needed a high-throughput payment processing system capable of handling 10,000+ concurrent transactions with 99.99% uptime, PCI-DSS compliance, and real-time fraud detection — all within a 4-month deadline.
The Solution
I designed a microservices architecture using Spring Boot with event-driven communication through Apache Kafka. The system featured JWT-based authentication, PostgreSQL for transaction logging, Redis for session caching, and Docker/Kubernetes for orchestration. A custom fraud detection module processed transactions in real-time using rule-based engines.
